Hi there, This week, I’m thrilled to introduce another non-profit I’ll be supporting through a portion of every Attica Gardens scarf sold: Avlés! Avlés is the creative collaboration of two remarkable women, Erini and Aristoula, whose work celebrates Greek traditions through the universal language of the performing arts. Their projects bring people together through movement, sound and storytelling. I truly feel that their work completes mine... Because in Greek folk tradition, there is no folk art without music, and no music without song, nor is there song without dance — they are inseparable. Avlés keeps that connection alive, because for them tradition is something living — not frozen in time, but constantly evolving through creative dialogue and collaboration. I also had the joy of working with Aristoula during the photoshoot for my scarves! She is such a joy to work with! If you want to support Avlés, you can donate through their website And with every Attica Gardens scarf you purchase, you’ll be directly supporting their vision — helping to keep Greek folk culture vibrant, connected and most importantly evolving. Until next time! Let's stay connected! |
